Have the ability to shift into a wolf at will, but are forced to transform on a full moon(like moi) Unlike Lyncanthropes, Werewolves do not lose conciousness and let their wolves take over when they shift. They retain control. But random spouts of anger and rage can cause them to shift uncontrollably.

These are the stereotypical Werewolves everybody knows about. They transfrom every and only on full moons into a wolf/human hybrid—they go through a very, very painful shift. So painful somewhere along the way, they lose conciousness and their wolves take over. They have no control or memory of their actions, except a few flashes. Lycanthropes are created with a bite or scratch from another Lycanthrope.

Wolf Therians are "humans" who 'share their soul' with a wolf. There are other therians, who hae their soul divided with said particular animal.Most Wolf Therians possess the abilities of a wolf (growling, barking, howling, enhances senses and speed, etc.) but are not physically wolves. Many say they have constant dreams of being a wolf, or running alongside their "inner wolf" while still in their human form.

Humans who are capable of shifting into wolves painlessly at will.

Okamimimi are the Wolf Kemonomimi (Nekos). They possess the basic wolf atributes, such as growling, barking, enhanced senses, and speed, as long with wolf ears and a tail.
